San José del Cabo
San Jose del Cabo is a beautiful Mexican smalltown 25 minutes north of Cabo San Lucas . San Jose del Cabo is known to be called the more well-behaved little sister of the two cities in the Baja. While both are very beautiful, have amazing Baja beaches and snorkeling etc, San Jose Del Cabo has a much more relaxed atmosphere and perhaps has a more authentically Mexican feel. While Cabo is known for its world class fishing, San Jose is perhaps best known for its amazing Art community. Artist from across Mexico and globally have come here to open galleries and be part of this very exciting and growing community. This small town shines every Thursday (5-9pm NOV-JUNE) as it hosts an amazing Art walk right downtown amongst its gorgeous historical colonial architecture, 100s of artist and artisans display their wares on the street to be shown and purchased. The galleries for blocks around open their doors for tours. Live music can be heard playing on street corners, and the fresh smells of street food vendors, can be smelt everywhere ! Don't miss this exciting night in San Jose del Cabo ! After walking around viewing the Artwalk , be sure to stop in one of the many amazing restaurants San Jose del Cabo has to offer. I highly recommend La Lupita for authentic Mexican tacos, or right next store is Baja Brewing which besides amazing crafted beers, has also some of the best pizza in the Baja! While at Baja Brewing , try and find the hidden speak easy which boosts exquisitely handcrafted cocktails - a mixologists dream. A few minutes' drive from the downtown Artwalk you can find, not 1 but 2 amazing farm to table restaurants, Flora Farms, and Acre, both have amazing reviews and are equally top notch ! I could literally go on forever about the amazing restaurants, family fun events, and activities San Jose del Cabo has to offer but you are just going to have to come and see for yourself! You won't be disappointed!
